Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at 19.52 Matera Bed & Breakfast, I found a charming blend of history and modern comfort in the heart of Sassi di Matera. The location was unbeatable, offering a glimpse into the ancient town before the crowds arrived. Cecelia's hospitality was exemplary, providing valuable local insights and recommendations. The room itself was cozy, with convenient amenities like a fridge and kettle. While the free snacks and well-equipped kitchen were a thoughtful touch, the shared facilities may not suit all guests. The breakfast at a nearby bar was sufficient, but for those seeking a more personalized experience, this might fall short.Despite the slight inconvenience of parking, the proximity to car-accessible areas is a bonus for travelers with luggage. The language barrier was efficiently overcome with a translation app, highlighting the owners' dedication to guest satisfaction. In terms of value, 19.52 Matera delivers a comfortable stay with a touch of Italian warmth. Guests should weigh the convenience of the location and the personalized service against the shared amenities and limited breakfast options to determine if this boutique B&B aligns with their preferences.
